We have had wonderful weather here in KZN this past week – it’s been lovely enough to almost make me forget the pains of a cold, nastily-wet winter!
Apparently we had 600% more rain than is normal in June here in Pmb this year, weird. Global warming seems to be more like global cooling for us.
Hard to believe that just a few short weeks ago we went away to the snowy Drakensberg for our anniversary weekend.
I thought I would share some photos with you of the cutest little hotel in Swartberg, the southern-most mountains of the Berg. AP and I were spoilt by having all our children and our two little grandchildren come with us! First – some pics of the granschildren……
We stayed at St Bernard’s Mountain Hotel, a little place that dates back to the 30’s. Guests stay in quaint cottages; three hearty, home-cooked meals are included in the rates (which are very reasonable), and you leave there feeling like old friends of the owners.
Here’s a link if you would like to check them out:

Have a wonderful weekend!
happy anniversary 🙂 It seems as if you have had all our rain! It has only snowed once here this winter, and that was while I was away 🙂

Thank you, Tandy!!!
We did have so much rain this past winter, very strange. And heaps of snow in KZN. We’ll probably have a dry summer 😦
